The Bucks Club – Jamison, Pennsylvania
Still way behind on posting during my road trip but who wants to sit at a computer and post when you can be out having run, right?
On Friday, September 24th, I had the chance to play at the Bucks Club in Jamison, Pennsylvania (near Philadelphia). It was a misty morning but turned out to be a lovely day.
Unlike my games up to this point, I didn't play with any of the women I had connected with through the Women Who Golf Facebook group. I did did play with a gentleman I had met in a Widow / Widower Facebook Group. I am a moderator in that group and he was newly widowed at the time. He said my comments were helping him and we communicated back and forth for a while... friends.
When Al (left in pic above) found out Philadelphia was on my road trip route, he invited me to stay with him and his new lady friend. We had a great weekend together which started with the game of golf on Friday at the Bucks Club. Thi,s was a very fun and challenging course. I would love to play it again.
On Saturday Betsy (center) took me to Valley Forge and gave me the VIP tour. Due to my back issues, I wasn't able to walk a lot so she gave me the driving tour.
When we weren't out having fun we were back at the house enjoying watching the Ryder Cup. So proud of the US team!
